A New Look for 2025 and Beyond

Over ten years ago when Relay FM launched, we did so with a logo and identity by our friend Simon Buckmaster. It looked so dang good on the front page of iTunes in 2014:

 
 

We've been Relay FM ever since, but it is time for a bit of a refresh, and we couldn't be happier with the new direction for our brand:

It's true: we are dropping the FM. With the updated name and refreshed look, we wanted something simpler that still felt familiar. JD Davis did an incredible job with our redesign, and was very patient as Myke and I went around and around until we landed on something that worked.

We think the new logo looks especially great on our revised podcast artwork. The cleaner mark and moving from ALL CAPS to titlecase make the designs much easier to parse, especially when scrolling through a podcast app on a phone.

A quick note:

  • It may take your podcast client a little while to see these changes, and episodes with embedded artwork published before today will obviously show the old artwork.

As we said in London back in July, we’re so proud and thankful to have been doing this for 10 years, and we can’t wait to see what the next 50 years may bring.
